Marlize’s journey in optometry began at the end of 2006 with a private group, and from there she worked her way up to managing a large practice in the Northern Suburbs for a few years. After that she spent several years locuming while raising her little ones, until she found her dream job in 2023 at Bril in Paarl.

Since then, she has fallen in love with the Bril brand and its people and decided to anchor herself in this brand. She absolutely love Bril’s passion for the optometry industry, as well as their dedication and commitment to their clients. What really stands out to her is how Bril approach optometry differently — making it fun and quirky.

She’s passionate about helping others, even in small ways, and she always try to be a light in other people’s lives by spreading happiness wherever she goes. And she’s not doing this alone! Together with Jandre, our amazing Optical Assistant, who has been in the optometry field for the past three years – they make sure every client’s experience is top-notch.
