Meet Anel, the owner and optometrist at Bril Stellenbosch. She studied in Johannesburg and worked there for five years, but her heart has always been in paediatrics. She spent two wonderful years in Cape Town working at a paediatric practice, focusing on children with visual challenges. After that, she and her husband lived in Abu Dhabi for three years, where she got to experience a whole new side of optometry—what an adventure! Now, her family has settled in the beautiful town of Stellenbosch, right in the heart of the Winelands. They love everything Stellenbosch has to offer—breathtaking scenery, warm-hearted people, and, of course, the fantastic wine!

Shenay has always been amazed by how complex the human eye is and how it shapes the way we see the world. This curiosity led her to optometry, and over the past 7 years, She gained a lot of experience that’s really helped her grow in her skills. She excited to be working at Bril, a place with such a great reputation, where she can keep learning and make a real difference in her clients’ lives. Nic’s journey began with his natural ability to connect with people one-on-one, paired with a curious mind and a desire to make a difference in the lives around him. He has a passion for helping others feel at home and finds joy in seeing someone light up after finding the perfect frame. Outside of work, he loves spending time in nature—whether it’s hiking, trail running, or rock climbing—and also enjoys relaxing with his guitar. Stephnie is a dedicated and organized professional with two years of experience as a practice manager. While working in Mossel Bay, she helped run two businesses, gaining valuable hands-on experience. She enjoys working with people, keeping things running smoothly, and taking on new challenges. Creating a welcoming environment and ensuring everyone has the best possible experience is something she truly values.
